We collect only the information necessary to provide our services and communicate with you. This includes:

  • Contact information you submit via our contact form: your first name, last name, and email address

  • Booking details you provide voluntarily, such as the type of session you are interested in and any notes you include in your message

  • Your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter or mailing list

 

We do not collect payment information directly on this website. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics software, or advertising pixels beyond those provided natively by our website platform (Wix.com).

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and booking requests

  • Communicate details about your photography session

  • Send you newsletters or studio updates if you have subscribed and consented to receive them

  • Comply with our legal obligations under applicable Canadian law

 

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

 

4. Newsletter and email communications

If you subscribe to our mailing list, we will send you occasional updates about our studio, new services, and photography offerings. Your consent is obtained at the time of signup.

You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly at booking@amyphotos.ca. We will process your request promptly and you will not receive further marketing emails after that point.

Our email communications comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

5. Photography and image use

Images taken during your session are delivered to you via a private online gallery. We may request your permission to use select images for portfolio purposes, including on our website, social media, or in print materials.

We will never publish or share images of you or your family without your explicit written consent. You retain the right to withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at booking@amyphotos.ca.

6. Data storage and security

Your contact information is stored securely within our website platform (Wix.com) and our email service provider. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months.

7. Your rights under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). These include the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your information

8. Third-party services

We use a third-party online gallery service to deliver your photographs. Access to your gallery is protected by a private link, and in the case of boudoir sessions, a password. We select service providers who maintain appropriate data protection standards.

9. Children's privacy

We photograph infants, children, and families as part of our services. In these cases, the parent or legal guardian is the contracting party and provides consent on behalf of any minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from individuals under the age of 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
